Opera Theatre of the Rockies continues its popular series of special presentations that set the stage for their annual Pikes Peak Center Grand Opera presentation. Shave and a Haircut: The Barber of Seville Sessions consists of six scheduled events inspired by the Rossini masterpiece. Each highlights different aspects that have contributed in making this one of the world’s most beloved operas. KCME-FM 887 will host the third presentation. General Manager Jeanna Wearing compares the two settings of Beaumarchais’s – Rossini’s from 1816 and Paisiello’s from 1782, a huge operatic hit until it was superceded by the later and superior setting.
