Mary Jane Sullivan will lead a workshop about the significance of discovery in poetry and speak about writing of astonishment and the process and thrill of discovery in poetic form.
Sullivan is a professor of philosophy, a poet, documentary film maker and Visiting Lecturer in Film Studies at University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
Preceding the workshop will be general election of officers. Annual membership is $30, payable to Poetry West. The public is welcome to both annual meeting and workshop, and there is no charge for the program.

Coming Up: The March 5 will be facilitated by Brian Barker, editor of Copper Nickel, and he will also give a night reading (free and open to public) at Casa Verde Commons House on the same day as the workshop. During National Poetry Month in April, J. Michael Martinez will lead the April 2 workshop and also will give a night-reading. Look for details in future releases. Thanks to Pikes Peak Poet Laureate Project and Aaron Anstett for securing funds for these evening events.
Poetry West is a local poetry organization that provides a forum where people who enjoy writing, reading and listening to poetry can come together to share this common interest.
