Add Review/Comment
Stargazers Theatre is turning up the heat and getting ready to bring a taste of New Orleans to Colorado Springs with the wildest tradition of the south--Mardi Gras, complete with great music, dancing, decorations, beads, and feather masks
Mardi Gras music will be brought to you by a band of very talented musicians who call themselves Tribe. Members of Tribe are: John Wise on stand-up bass, conga and vocals; Tim Zahn on keyboard accordion and vocals; Dwight Bement on sax and vocals; Michael Reese on guitar and vocals; and Dewy Steele on drums and washboard (standing in at this concert for Randy Zowen).
With the experience, creativity and talent of these musicians--Tribe can play up a storm of very danceable music including jazz,R&B, blues, zydeco, and reggae. However, this terrific band specializes in what they like to describe as “Funky Roots Music in the New Orleans tradition.”
Food and drink specials of the south include Bayou Red Beans & Rice, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, Stargazers Hurricanes, and for dessert--King Cake! Join us for this purple, gold, and green evening; dance and drink a toast to the inextinguishable, spunky spirit of the south!
