"Active Engagement" is a collaborative project between Harrell Fletcher, artist-in-residence for CC’s Block VI, and students in six Colorado College classes in the arts and social sciences. A professor of art and social practice at Portland State University in Portland, Ore., Fletcher has worked collaboratively and individually on socially engaged, interdisciplinary art and performance projects for more than 15 years. Through photography, video, dance and narrative, "Active Engagement" will reflect Fletcher and students’ understandings of the intersections between the military community and the broader Colorado Springs community.

Sponsored by the President’s Circle and the Cultural Attractions Fund.
