A New Brain For Arnie is a 100% improvisational band combining the creative dynamics of jazz with the sensibilities of rock. Their genre could best be described as Jazz, Rock, Jam Rock & Jamband all rolled into one. Exceptionally talented band members include Michael Reese, guitar; Wayne Hammerstadt, guitar; Bryant C. Jones, keys; Dewey Steele, drums; & bassist Kim Stone.
A New Brain For Arnie was founded by Kim Stone, who has received multiple Grammy nominations with Spyro Gyra & Rare Silk. Stone has also performed & recorded with many other notable artists, including B.B. King, Hugh Ragin, The Rippingtons, David Amram, Larry Carlton, Eric Marienthal, Rob Mullins, Jessica Williams, & Firefall. His extensive performing experience includes multiple appearances at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival, North Seas Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Kool Jazz Festival, JVC Jazz Festival, & Playboy Jazz Festival. In addition to numerous nationwide tours of the U.S., he has also taken his show to Europe & Southeast Asia.
