Announcing Stargazers Summer Free Fun Friday Concert series! Join us for some priceless music and performances presented by some of the premiere musicians and entertainers in the Pikes Peak Region…for free!
Every Friday* during June, July and August, Stargazers will showcase the amazing talent of a local band or musician featuring an amazing variety of musical genres ranging from rock to classic rock, blues, blue grass, dance music, folk music and much more.
This first segment is all about The Gazette and its readers 2011 Best of Original and Cover bands. In 2011, the Lo-Fi boys were voted "Best Original Band" by The Gazette and its readers for a second year in a row. The Lo-Fi Cowboys were formed in early 2009 by local music veteran Chuck Snow. Joined by Kevin Waybright on bass, Ric Carney on drums, and Collin Estes on guitar and piano, the band set out to perform their own interpretation of classic country music crossbred with rock n' roll, but often veered off into whatever genre caught their fancy during their live shows.
Also in 2011, Tron the Band was voted “Best Cover Band” by The Gazette and its readers. The 2011 Gazette Best of Magazine states, “Tron Simpson, the KCMN radio personality, provides lead guitar and vocals in this kickin’ band that specializes in covering classic rock legends like The Stones, Neil Young, Tom Petty and The Doors.”
On these evenings we will also be offering a selection of fresh and economical dinner sandwiches, brats and an array of fun summer finger foods-so you can fill up your tummy and have more $$ to fill up the gas tank!
