Nancy Andrew is instructor of flute at Metropolitan State College, and teaches privately in Colorado Springs and Denver. Her orchestral experience includes performances with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, the Boulder Bach Festival, the Eugene Symphony, the Oregon Mozart players, the Erie Philharmonic, the Baltimore Opera, the New England Bach Festival, and the Annapolis Symphony. She has also toured with the United States Air Force Academy Band. A frequent recital performer, Ms. Andrew has presented concerts and master classes worldwide and specializes in performances and presentations related to the legendary French flutist Marcel Moyse. Ms. Andrew is the founder and former executive director of the Marcel Moyse Society. Ms. Andrew holds degrees from Peabody Conservatory (DMA), the State University of New York at Stony Brook (MM), and the University of New Mexico (BM, BA). Her teachers have included Marcel Moyse, Robert Willoughby, Samuel Baron, Thomas Nyfenger and Frank Bowen.
Dutch-Canadian pianist Ineke Helby Simons received her first piano lessons from her father at the age of four. Growing up in the area where the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet, she was able to enjoy three different music education systems. Her professional education took place at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music (the Netherlands) where she studied with Frederic Meinders and Joop Celis. Upon graduation, she took further lessons and master classes with Avi Schonfeld, Eliane Rodriques, Tan Crone, Peter Donohoe, Carola Grindea, Ian Hobson and John Paul Bracey. As a performer, Ms. Simons has experience as both a solo and chamber musician and has given concerts in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Canada and the United States. She has also been a teacher in various music schools and academies as well as privately. Currently she lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and daughter.
