Please join us for an evening of lovely music with Edith Makes a Paper Chain and The Hydes.

Edith Makes a Paper Chain was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and has just completed her third journey around the sun. Edith Makes a Paper Chain was the winner of the 2009 Pikes Peak Arts Council Award for Excellence in the Arts in the Popular Music category and has been described as gypsy folk, indie rock, power pop and haunted circus music. A whimsical, folie a six mostly acoustic instruments that combine to create a sort of gypsy, folk, pop sound. The music of Edith often inspires waltzing, laughter and a sense of curiosity, mystery, and merriment. Sarah Hope (guitar and vocals), Hilary Studebaker (viola and vocals), Mike Kimlico (bass and vocals), Matt Chmielarczyk (mandolin, ukulele, and electric guitar), Jeremy Van Hoy (brass and keys) and Aimee Spillane (drums) come together to share their delightful melodies.

Brother and sister duo Iain and Joanna Hyde bring together the traditions of bluegrass, Irish, swing, and folk music to create textured instrumentals and rich vocal harmonies. Iain (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, vocals) and Joanna (fiddle, vocals) grew up in a musical family in Colorado, traveling the state and region to share their music at festivals, house concerts, and various music venues from their elementary school days onward. Through their many years as students, performers and teachers at Swallow Hill Music Association, their studies at music camps in West Virginia, Tennessee, California, and Colorado, their successes in various fiddle contests, and their many years as performers in festivals, theaters, and numerous venues around the West and Midwest, Iain and Joanna combine experience and passion in a constant search for new and innovative acoustic music.
