Amuzé Catering will host FluteDaddy’s Jazz Party at the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts (TLCA). The event package of entertainment includes, wine tasting, dinner, jazz concert, and fireworks viewing with reserved seating overlooking the Palmer Lake fireworks show. Reserved parking is also included.
“We wanted to do something special in Palmer Lake,” said Bill Sherman, owner of Amuzé. Sherman previously operated Amuzé Bistro in Palmer Lake, an award-winning gourmet restaurant, and is opening another restaurant, The Flying Pig, at that location soon. “The Palmer Lake 4th of July festival draws a big crowd and we came up with a way for folks to enjoy the celebration in style, but made it easy for them to do so. All folks have to do is bring their party of four, park in our reserved lot, sit back, and enjoy while we serve up drinks, dinner, and a concert.”
“We’ll transform the Tri-Lakes Center for the Art’s main gallery into an intimate, cabaret environment with bistro tables for four set with tablecloths and candles. The room has a full stage for folks to enjoy FluteDaddy’s performance.” said Bill Sherman. “Space is limited, with only 40 event packages available; I encourage folks to reserve early.”
The FluteDaddy Jazz Quartet will perform a 90-minute program of fan favorites from their Jazz’n The Beatles, Jazz’n The Movies, and Latin Soul concerts, plus patriotic jazz specially arranged for this event. “FluteDaddy plays a wonderful concert,” says Sherman. “The last concert we held with them sold out; we had to turn people away.”
The FluteDaddy Jazz Quartet is led by jazz flutist Joseph Liberti with a rhythm section of master jazz musicians, well known to local jazz aficionados, including Bruce Pennington on piano, Marc Neihof on bass, and Dennis Bueno playing drums and percussion. “Folks will get a kick out of the jazz version of patriotic songs,” says Joseph, “and they will also enjoy the sounds of the conga, bongos, and other percussion instruments that add an exciting Latin jazz kick to some of the tunes.”
Wine tasting and dinner will precede the concert. A gourmet buffet will feature seasonal appetizers, smoked and barbecued meats, and include roasted corn, a variety of vegetable dishes, and tempting Amuzé deserts. Guests will sample Chef William Sherman’s personal choices of quality wines.
Wine tasting and dinner begin at 6:00 PM. The concert starts at 7:00 PM. Afterwards, guests can view the Palmer Lake fireworks show from reserved seating outside TLCA.
