Reflections of Nature
July 15-August 15, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Those incomparable moments when nature's cavalcade of light and color dances before us - these fleeting images inspire our artists' showcase: "Reflections of Nature"
Participating Artists:
Chromatic Edge
Chromatic Edge, founded by Mary Ann Bransby, is a group of ten watermedia artists: Mary Ann Bransby, Theress Bruner, Larry Haught, Kathryn Kelso, Reveille Kennedy, Barb McAdams, Roberta Povelite, Lou Ann Sosalla, Jill Spear, and Suzanne Truax, whose shared love of light, color and nature is reflected in their work. The group’s artwork emphasizes both traditional watercolor and experimental watermedia.
Juanita Canzoneri
In January 2011 Juanita was researching sculptural form ideas and watched the documentary "A Man Named Pearl" about Pearl Fryar. The topiary forms Mr. Fryar created in his garden and town sparked her desire to attempt a translation of topiary forms into mosaic sculptures. The pieces created for this show are the outcome of this collision of art forms.
Sabine Wachs
Strong organic line and open spaces characterize Sabine's unique art glass. Images of nature captured in glass come to life when light passes through them illuminating the composition.
