Celebration of the Military Child: Highlighting the value of the outdoors for our youngest military heroes! This outdoor activity fair and picnic lunch will take place in amazing America the Beautiful Park! (Free lunch to the first 250 people through registration the day of the event)
Please join the Sierra Club and UpaDowna in welcoming military children and their families (as well as ALL children and families) in a day of outdoor fun and skills development taught by many local and national partner organizations and listen to participants from the recent National Military Family Association’s Operation Purple Camps held in partnership in Colorado with the YMCA!
Activities will include: camping essentials, learning to climb, kids and bikes, slack-lining, disc golf, gardening, hiking safely in Colorado, Leave No Trace, Natural History of Colorado, and meeting many of the groups that can get you and your family outdoors!
