    Join the Palmer Lake Historical Society for an informative and entertaining evening as Robert Keiss presents fascinating stories and information about the role of mules in United States Army operations. Bob had the honor of being the last Battery Commander of an animal unit in the Army. His presentation is based upon his experiences during the last two years of the Mule Pack Artillery and Quartermaster Pack Units, which were de-activated in December 1956. He will show photographs of mountain and cold weather training, and mule and horse training activities at Fort Carson and Camp Hale near Leadville.

    Free refreshments will be served after the program.
