Grab the kids and the lawn chairs for a fun, musical evening in downtown Colorado Springs. First Christian Church is presenting “Hot August Nights: Music on the Labyrinth” on the south side of the church. The program will feature the America the Beautiful Chorus, a men’s barbershop ensemble with music to warm the heart and soul. Come and enjoy this free concert and light refreshments as we celebrate the late summer with live music outdoors on a lovely Colorado evening. The program will move indoors in the event of less than lovely weather.
America the Beautiful Chorus is the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The chorus is an ever-growing fraternity of barbershop harmony singers, achieving excellence through a cappella vocal music performance by providing an environment of fellowship and music education that meets the needs of the individual members. They seek to preserve the barbershop style and heighten public appreciation of barbershop harmony through quality performances and charitable outreach in the community.
