"So Far From Home" explores the stories of American WWII soldiers who served in the European theater and who were POWs in German camps during the war. The soldiers recall their initial capture, adapting to difficult environments, and surviving harsh circumstances. They tell the stories of what POW camp was like, how they survived, and how the experiences changed their lives forever. More than just a historical documentary, this film takes a look into the psyche of human survival.
