This musical evening kicks off the premiere monthly Stargazers Songwriter's Showcase hosted by Joe Uveges. It’s also a CD release party for When the Smoke Clears by Canon Road, a duo comprised of Joe Uveges and Stephanie Pauline.Special guests at this month’s Showcase will be Chuck Snow and Jason Miller.Joe Uveges started as a mainstream folk singer and is known as a “superb singer/guitarist/songwriter.” When the Smoke Clears is the much-anticipated release of Joe Uveges and Stephanie Pauline (alias "Canon Road") as they foray into the realm of country music ... ideally classy country music. Although trucks are mentioned, beer is not--nor are dogs and ex-wives. The night will be a collection of songs from the new CD, as well as some favorites from each of these well-known artists. The disc, recorded both here in Colorado Springs and Nashville, features some of the finest musicians in the country, including Tim Akres (Rascall Flatts) and Glenn Duncan (Barbara Mandrell).Chuck Snow is a Colorado Springs native and has been a performing musician here since 1983. Over the course of his career he has shared the stage with Cross Canadian Ragweed, INXS, The Blasters, Brian Setzer, Dick Dale, Junior Brown, The Beat Farmers, and Dada--among others. Chuck is mostly known for his band, The Autono, which was a Colorado Springs mainstay from 1984-1997. He was also a DJ with KRCC from 1991 to 2006. He currently performs with The Lo-Fi Cowboys.Jason Miller's music morphed from many genres including classic rock, folk, country, and jazz. He has been picking officially since the age of 19, staring out with music books, lessons, and natural ability. He currently performs with The Genuwines.
