Don your gay apparel for the holidays and come see Paul Rudnick's gleefully outrageous reinterpretation of Creation featuring Adam and Steve - and Jane and Mabel!
These innocently bawdy Garden-dwellers are on a journey of wonder and exploration, from their bodily functions to the names of the animals and, ultimately, to the nature of their relationship with their Creator. Act II finds these same characters at home in modern-day Manhattan, facing more down-to-earth issues: one of them is dying, and one is about to give birth.
At once provocative and reverent, uproarious and deeply touching, this nativity tale is sure to open your heart this season. Contains adult language and sexual situations. This production is dedicated to the late Tony Babin, former Star Bar board member, founder of Upstart Performing Ensemble and creator of the Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival, one of the first of its kind in the country.
