December 15, 2011
Add Review/Comment
We'll be playin' the tunes for this evening of tales about the glory days of rock ‘n roll told by legendary music promoter Barry Fey.
The stories are included in his new book, “Backstage Past,” which documents his extraordinary 40-year career.
This is your chance to meet Barry Fey--“The Rockfather," have him sign “Backstage Past” & get a peek into the past with stories about the royalty of rock. From Jagger to Joplin, Morrison to McCartney, and Bowie to Bono, Barry knew all of them and hosted many of them at his home.
6035 plays a tight mix of rock classics with a little something for everyone. The band is one of the top 3 cover bands in the Pikes Peak region, as voted in the “Colorado Springs Independent” 2011 Best Of music awards. 6035 is also “The Gazette’s” 2011 Expert Pick for Best Performances, and was named 2010 Best Cover Band by “The Gazette.”
Todd Caudle, Writer/Photographer for the Colorado Springs “Gazette” from 1984-94, will show some of the photos he took at Fey's concerts. Todd owns Skyline Press and has published six books and several dozen calendars featuring his breathtaking photography; one of his books won the Colorado Book award in 2006.
