    Tom Kimmell, one of Southern Colorado’s most prolific and well known professional photojournalists, will finally exhibit his work publicly with his Photo of the Day Project.

    Tom Kimmell, one of Southern Colorado’s most prolific and well known professional photojournalists, will finally exhibit his work publicly with his Photo of the Day Project.
    At the start of 2011, Tom’s son Andrew encouraged him to increase his online presence by creating a photo blog. The challenge spurred Tom to launch his “Photo of the Day 2011” project. He committed to capture and post a unique image each day for the entire year. Tom’s 16 years as a newspaper photojournalist provided him with the experience and perspective to document a vast array of subjects and images ranging from breathtaking scenic shots to intense images of elite, Olympic, and Paralympic athletes. The diverse collection encompasses Tom’s global perspective as he documented third world cultures during his travels. His local perspective is recorded through use of light and color to record images we all pass by every day but don’t even notice.
