The David James Band is a piano-driven four piece in the tradition of Ben Folds and Jerry Lee Lewis. After earning a degree in classical piano, David James and his brother Preston teamed up with two like-minded Denverites--Wes Barton and Justin Francoeur--to create 2010's “Street Performer,” an album that has garnered local praise for its catchy melodies and jazz-inspired style. The final track, 'Alcohol.edu,' earned James the BMI John Lennon Scholarship.

Musicians and non-musicians alike can appreciate the band's ardent approach to writing and inspired live performances. The group is constantly writing and recording new material as part of their quest for 'Pop Music Rehabilitation'.
