Take a Second Look Film series

A screening as part of the Take a Second Look film series.

In 1953, the piece of talking furniture called TV was still a novelty in America's living rooms. On it, Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin uses fear, falsehoods and belligerence to become arguably the most powerful man in the land. On it too, newsman Edward R. Murrow, who's had his fill of the senator's tactics, fights back. Discussion period follows the screening.
