As a program of the Colorado Springs Diversity Forum, the Food for Thought program seeks to foster civil discourse and nonjudgmental conversation so that the community can be strengthened by understanding and valuing our differences and recognizing our similarities. All groups are moderated by trained facilitators. This community building project encourages diverse groups of people to meet five times over a six month period to break bread and discuss challenging subjects. The initial kickoff event allows participants to introduce themselves, to agree to ground rules, to select discussion topics, and to begin the bonding process.
