A leading theorist of international relations, Ikenberry is the author of many books, including most recently, “Liberal Leviathan: The Origins, Crisis, and Transformation of the American World Order” (Princeton University Press, 2011). His work “After Victory: Institutions, Strategic Restraint, and the Rebuilding of Order after Major Wars” (Princeton, 2001) won the 2002 Schroeder-Jervis Award presented by the American Political Science Association (APSA) for the best book in international history and politics.
