Annika Pissin, a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for East and Southeast Asian Studies, Lund University, in Sweden, specializes in the history of childhood, child-rearing practices, and the changing structure of the family in China. Her talk will focus on the phenomenon of left behind children in contemporary China and in other parts of the world.
