Butte Theatre
The Butte Theatre produces six professional shows throughout the year and community outreach programs, such as high school theatrical workshops and community theater programs. With the assistance of the Butte Opera House Foundation, the theater facilitates professional and community art projects throughout the Cripple Creek area.

Cripple Creek Melodrama

The Lost Soul of Cripple Creek, a melodrama adapted from the 1867 Victorian melodrama, Lost in London by Watts Phillips. This new adaptation tells the story of a poor Cripple Creek miner who journeys to Denver to reclaim his wife and to have his vengeance on the villain who stole her. It is a thrilling story of honor, revenge, and enduring love, even from beyond the grave. The show will be followed by an all new Halloween Olio.
