Pikes Peak Jazz And Swing Society
Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society (PPJASS) is designed to preserve, support, and foster jazz. Sessions are held the second Sunday of every month featuring a variety of music, jamming, and dancing at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd. in Colorado Springs, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. with dancing, door prizes and a cash bar. All activities are open to the public free or at a minimal admission charge. Annual memberships are $20 for singles, $30 for family, and $5 for students. Being a member entitles one to discounts and a monthly newsletter. Special Summer Events: In conjunction with the Colorado Springs Park & Recreation Department, PPJASS, hosts Jazz in the Parks every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM starting June 6th and concluding on August 29. Location of the parks will be announced. All of these park concerts are free and open to the public.
