    Pikes Peak Derby Dames

The Pikes Peak Derby Dames first surfaced in the summer of 2005, when one girl from Colorado Springs decided to take on the challenge of starting up a Roller Derby coalition in her home town. Founded by Slugs-N-Kisses, the league has been growing one girl at a time ever since. PPDD is a diverse group of women athletes committed to the athletic development and empowerment of women in the Colorado Springs region.

PPDD is a PROUD member of the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association), a nationwide organization created for the advancement of roller derby in America. The WFTDA promotes and fosters the sport of women's flat track derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability, sportwomanship, and goodwill among member leagues. The governing philosophy is "by the skaters, for the skaters." Women skaters are primary owners, managers, and operators of each member league and of the association.

Pikes Peak Derby Dames come from all walks of life: we're business professionals, some own their own businesses. We are students, mothers, tattoo artists, and hair dressers. We're rock-n-rollers, punks, honky-tonk girls...and everything in between. What we share is a passion for Roller Derby and a strong sense of camaraderie.
