Colorado Springs Conservatory

The Colorado Springs Conservatory offers arts immersion studies to students ages 3 through19. Workshops and performances are offered in music, theater, musical theater, jazz and opera. Age appropriate classes and lessons are offered in voice, instrumental, music theory, eartraining, composition, art and music history, studio, dance, movement and keyboard studies.

Designed for young adults and adults. Witness first-hand, Maestro Lawrence Leighton Smith, Conductor Emeritus of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, working with accomplished students from the Conservatory as well as from other community education partners.
    01/30/12- 06/01/12	2012 Spring Session for the Young Performing Artist Colorado Springs Conservatory 2012 Spring Session for the Young Performing Artist Presented by Colorado Springs Conservatory at Colorado Springs Conservatory January 30-June 1, 2012 Exploration of the performing arts for children and young adults ages 4 through 19 in a safe, after school environment that embraces individuality, creativity and respect for others. From performing in the spring production of Fiddler on the Roof and jamming with friends, to an in-depth look at Chamber Music. Experience instrumental and vocal music of all genres, theater, movement, theory, music composition, college prep and interview strategies and much, much more.

Designed for adults and young adults. A light afternoon snack will be served. Space is limited. We encourage you to make reservations now by calling as soon as possible.

Join instructor Charla McGaugh in the Yamaha Keyboard Lab at the Conservatory’s beautiful new location at 415 South Sahwatch Street, 80903 (1 block east of I-25 at Sahwatch and Cimarron.) Classes are ongoing. Join in whenever you like.

      This year's summer intensive student opera about Julie and Spencer Penrose tops them all! Amazing voices, amazing lyrics - the "Colorado Song" should become our new state song! And to think these students range in age from 13-19! The talent is breathtaking and the music even better - with soul, humor, intelligence and introspection....this one has it all! Collapse
