Newspaper In Education (NIE) is a cooperative effort between local schools, businesses, community members and The Gazette to promote literacy and education by using the newspaper as an instructional tool in the classroom. Generous business sponsorships, foundation grants, vacationing subscriber donations and fundraisers generate funds to partner with The Gazette in providing newspapers at no cost to over 50,000 students throughout the Pikes Peak region. It is a unique way for all of us to work together in a partnership that benefits educators, students and our community, now and in the future.
