      I went her for the first time with my 5 year old daughter and husband.The area in which the eggs were on (not hidden) was 50ft of grass for about 100+ children. They counted down and said no parents... Expand

      I went her for the first time with my 5 year old daughter and husband.The area in which the eggs were on (not hidden) was 50ft of grass for about 100+ children. They counted down and said no parents on the grass. Then all the children were so packd in, it was like a frenzied mosh pit! A young girl had a mouth full of blood from bing pushe by other children. Then a partents worse fear, everyone (adults) crowded the already cramped space looking for their children. People were screaming, kids crying for mom, everytwhere you looked. At least 250-300 people scrambling to find their kids.Not to mention children crying because the all litterally got 0-2 eggs a piece, very few maybe had 5 or 6. Being a Psychology major, I realize how dangerous this festive event was. Anyone could have lost your child. And we watched her close but with that many children cramped in a tight area with hundreds of adults watching is not anything we will do there again! Do not waste your time, it was scary!! Collapse

      When going to see ice sculptures, we were very disappointed that there weren't any! OK, maybe 3, but what a sad display of what could be a really cool outdoor event in Colorado Springs.

      Although this market has amazing ambiance and a wonderful location, it is sad to know much of the food is not grown locally. Much of the produce sold is not even in season (peppers in June??) It would... Expand

      Although this market has amazing ambiance and a wonderful location, it is sad to know much of the food is not grown locally. Much of the produce sold is not even in season (peppers in June??) It would be much better if there were more organic produce available. The root beer and kettlecorn booth is always my favorite! This market has a lot going for it, but also needs to adjust to changing times-LOCAL IS BETTER! Folks do not want pesticides and produce that is shipped from far away--we can go to the grocery store for that. Collapse
