Opera Theatre of the Rockies
Opera Theatre was founded by Artistic Director Martile Rowland to offer Colorado singers training, exposure and experience in the operatic arts. Since 2005, three performances of one main stage production are offered every season in the 2000 seat Pikes Peak Center. In addition, the Vocal Arts Symposium is held for three weeks every July-August in association with Colorado College and Opera Theatre of the Rockies Goes to School is offered each year to 80 local teachers resulting in 1,500 high school students attending a grand opera production.
