American Music Society

The American Music Society is a group of musicians who perform for one another and the public about 4-6 times per year. The group has been in existence for over 100 years. The venues are generally small with most performances being given my soloists or a small ensemble.

    03/14/10	American Music Society March Performances Colorado Springs Conservatory American Music Society March Performances Presented by American Music Society at Colorado Springs Conservatory March 14, 2010 The object of the American Music Society is to advance the interests of musical art by the serious preparation and performance of music of the great masters, contemporary, impressionist and American Composers. The organization has been fulfilling this objective for 101 years in the Pikes Peak region. The March performances consists of solo & duet piano & voice performances composed by Mozart, Schumann, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Arensky, Mussorgsky and Stravinsky.

February's American Music Society performance will consist of music by Schumann, Jose Parades and others, featuring Jim Bosse, Julie Mynett, Sara McDaniel and other AMS members.
