Theatre ‘d Art is guerilla, renegade, pirate, ninja, experimental, art, avant-garde theater company that produces absurdist, surrealist, new, old and original plays for your enjoyment. Founded in 2003 by Brian Mann and Jonathan Margheim, T’dA produces roughly four shows a year, aiming to bring exciting theater to people who may not have experienced it before.

This year T'dA presents twelve new plays including ones written by Roy Ballard, Jeff Keele, Brian Mann and Jordan Mathews. There are even two exciting musicals this year: "Dogs the Musical" by Ariel Baty and "Dungeon Darvon" by Hossein Forouzandeh.

Between Time and Timbuktu

Theatre 'd Art ends its "Season of Illusions" with this strange foray into the world of Kurt Vonnegut. In Between Time and Timbuktu, amateur poet Stoney Stevenson wins the grand prize of the Blast-off energy drink Space Jingle Contest and is launched off into space to experience the Chrono-Synclastic Infundibulum. What proceeds from this is Stoney's fantastic journey through space, time and a number of Vonnegut's early stories.

Jules Feiffer's black comedy is about a young woman who takes her new fiance home to meet her parents amidst a raging wave of violence and crime, electrical black outs, and general family dysfunction. The third play in Theatre 'd Art's "Season of Illusions" explore the illusions of relationships and how people view and ignore the outside world.

A series of three plays, "Seven Jewish Children," by Caryl Churchill, "We Bombed in New Haven," by Joseph Heller, and "A War Prayer" by Mark Twain. All three look at the issue of war from a different perspective and how our understanding of it can be different depending on who we are and how seriously we take the issue. The Arte of War is the second production of Theatre 'd Art's "season of Illusions."
