      My wife and I were invited out to see a newly formed band called U4X by Dale and Carrie of Blue Gill Productions on the evening of May 14th at the Thirsty Parrot in Colorado Springs. We decided to come on out after seeing the band members' names and music credentials. Mike Campbell was singing lead and backup vocals while pounding out beats so perfectly in time that you could have set your watch by them. Kim Stone, a local favorite, was putting down ultra funky baselines that that bordered on guitar abuse. Bob Harris added piano licks and his "one of a kind" rock vocals to the mix in a way that captured the essence of each song the band covered. Finally Jock Bartey laid down the carefully constructed, righteous, lead guitar riffs and vocals that gave the band the dexterity to play a wide variety of our favorite tunes. We found ourselves singing along all night. Jump onboard their majic bus and enjoy covers from over 40 years of classic rock and roll. Thanks again Dale and Carrie! Collapse
