The 8,500-square-foot museum adjacent to the world-renowned Broadmoor Hotel houses the lifetime collection of Julie and Spencer Penrose. The Penroses were enthusiastic collectors of unique carriages,racecars, automobiles and other historically unique items.

      I have been to the carriage museum seven times now and each time I have learned something entirely new. This place is simply magical, from its' combination of presidential and original carriages to other antiques including Native American artifacts, various automobiles, trophies, safes and more. The curator(s) are more than knowledgeable; they are engaging and make the experience even more unique and the museum building itself is quite wonderful in its' architecture. This is certainly a must see place and I keep wanting to go back for more! Collapse

      My 7 year old went last year and cannot stop raving about his experience. We are headed back tomorrow so he can share his experiences with us. He remembers so much and refers to it often!
