The Broadmoor Skating Club (BSC) began in 1938 as the Pikes Peak Figure Skating Club at the Broadmoor Ice Palace and became the Broadmoor Skating Club in 1948.

Since its founding, BSC members have earned over 150 United States medals, over 35 world medals and nine Olympic medals. BSC has hosted six U.S. National Championships, five World Championships, and three Junior World Championships.

Since moving to its current location in 1998, the World Arena has hosted six International Championships, three Nationals Synchronized Skating Championships, the World Synchronized Skating Championships and the Grand Prix Finals.

The Broadmoor Skating Club is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association and is one of the largest and most prestigious figure skating clubs in the United States.
