Maria Battista has been working as a sculptor and goldsmith in the Pikes Peak region since 1992.  She executes classical sculpture in bronze and stone, specializing in figurative, archetypal themes.  Her bronze sculpture "Calypso" is featured on the cover of the 2015-2016 Colorado Journeys magazine.  She is also known for her unique, contemporary design mastery with precious metals and gemstones.  Her work can be seen in Santa Fe at McCall Fine Art (225 Canyon Road) and locally at Hunter-Wolff  Gallery (2510 W. Colorado Ave.),  at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Museum Shop (30 W. Dale St.) at the Center for Creative Leadership, and at the Tai Chi Association (219 W. Colorado Ave.).
