    About the artist:

    Life is full of extreme riches and loss, and Marie has lived both in full living color. With all these experiences, she chooses to see the color, the beauty, and the opportunities in every day. She captures the power of the positive human experience. Obsessed with expressing emotions through paint, she uses color and texture to reflect our beautiful surroundings here in Colorado and her observations, via travel around the Americas, Europe and Asia. For ten years she has studied and practiced with various fine art media such as print making, mixed media collage, digital photography, and oil and acrylic painting. Her current work is Abstract Expressionist, in mixed media: acrylic paint, inks, hand painted papers, and some oil paint and found objects on canvas or board. Her work is currently shown at: The Nicolaysen Art Museum & Discovery Center, Casper, WY; Boulder Street Gallery, Colorado Springs, CO.
