About the artist:
Biographical Statement: Like many mosaicists I worked in the fabric arts for years, eventually working in costume design for the theater and my own closet. A home decorating project in the summer of 2001 sparked my interest in mosaic work and led me to research the process. When I saw what could be done with glass I was hooked. My designs tend to be fairly straightforward, ideas and images that spark my interest or allow a sense of play. My recent work utilizes a great variety of glass materials as well as paper collage and plant materials.
