CityROCK: Creature from the Black Lagoon

This 15’ high depiction of the creature from the black lagoon was painted by Corbin Hillam in 2010 for the newly created CityROCK Climbing Center.

It is one of five figures from “old” movies painted on the walls as an homage to building’s previous use as a movie theater. The Creature from the Black Lagoon was a black-and-white 3-D horror film released in 1954 about a strange prehistoric beast lurking in the depths of the Amazon jungle.
