Life of the County

This 5’x5’ stained glass piece, depicting the many roles of county government, greets visitors to El Paso County’s Centennial Hall. Life of the County was completed in 2000 by local artist Steve Woods of Public Art Associates. Public Art Associates was founded in 1991 as “a collaboration of fellow artists” and has since completed 65 community projects. Funds for the work came from Colorado Creative Industries (then Colorado Council on the Arts) and El Paso County.
