Pillars Through Time

Sue Quinlan wants to get a rise out of you. The Colorado artist says of her work that she hopes to impact her audience, “perhaps by evoking a smile, an angry word or even confusion. But one of the greatest goals of an artist is to make the observer think.”

A favorite piece of the 2004 Art on the Streets program, the concrete and steel Pillars Through Time was purchased by Community Ventures and donated to the City of Colorado Springs in 2007.

Quinlan has been an active painter and sculptor for 20 years and works out of her Labyrinth of the Bull Studio in Boulder, Colorado.
