The Caretaker

Slightly smaller than life-size, The Caretaker stands sentry, with hoe in hand, at the entrance to the Heirloom Vegetable Gardens in Monument Valley Park. Created by artist John Fannin, the piece was dedicated to the garden’s many volunteers.

Since 1962, the non-profit Horticultural Arts Society has managed public gardens in Monument Valley Park, providing educational opportunities for amateur and professional gardeners.
