This Wall Connects Us All

Concrete Couch. a community arts organization, facilitated the completion of this five foot high and 100 foot long ceramic tile, mosaic and relief steel mural along a concrete wall in the lower-level parking lot of Penrose Public Library in 2016.

This project was a collaboration between the Pikes Peak Library District, Concrete Couch and five hub groups (Colorado College, Community Prep School,Will Rogers Elementary School, Manitou Springs High School, Pikes Peak Community College and local businesses, city government, and many other organizations and individuals.

The hub groups created focal panels of steel and tile representing regional themes of “natural sciences”, “live and growth”, “imagination and fantasy”, “sports and physical activities”, and “innovation and technology.” (Source: dedication plaque)
