    Sited adjacent to the walking path around Colorado Springs’ Memorial Park, Helios, Bridge and Good Luck form a powerful grouping of public art against the sparkling blue backdrop of Prospect Lake. This trio of mixed media pieces exemplifies the spirit of collaboration that makes the community-generated work of Steve Wood and Public Art Associates so successful.


    The grouping was created in 2001 through a partnership with students at Palmer High School and funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. Public Art Associates was founded in 1991 as “a collaboration of fellow artists” and has since completed 65 community projects.
