Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater

The Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater is a state-of-the-art, flexible black-box theater that seats up to 300. Six to eight professional productions take place in this space each season as well as two to three student productions. Most productions are free for UCCS students.

      Joe Turner's Come and Gone Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater Joe Turner's Come and Gone Presented by Theatreworks at Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater January 26-February 19, 2012 We think this is August Wilson's greatest play. The year is 1911. The place is a Pittsburgh boarding house. A mysterious stranger arrives with his daughter, stirring up a group of people on the move, people needing a new way to live and love up north in a new America. Theatre gets no richer than this.

She will join us for a Prologue discussion with the community and a workshop with our students.

Our theatre, music and dance students drop seven veils and deliver one saint's head in their vivid and original re-imagining of this opulent classic of decadence, banned from the stage when it first rehearsed in 1892.
      03/18/12	Prologue Series- Salome Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater Prologue Series- Salome Presented by Theatreworks at Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater March 18, 2012 Eric Hill, former member of the famed Suzuki Company of Toga, Japan, will be on hand to discuss and demonstrate the fascinating training method that will be employed in Salome.
      04/19/12- 05/06/12	Mary Stuart Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater Mary Stuart Presented by Theatreworks at Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater April 19-May 6, 2012 Two queens play for a kingdom, and what queens they are! The passionate and impulsive Mary faces off with the skrewd and formidable Elizabeth in a political thriller where one lovely royal head must roll. Schiller's fabulous romantic drama is based on real events, lavishly spiced with sensational action, spectacular poetry, and a whirling galaxy of court intrigue. Hie thee to the tower!
