Scrub oak thicket, ponderosa pine forests, meadows, a mountain creek, abundant foothills, and wildlife attract children and adults to Bear Creek Regional Park and Nature Center. Interpretive programs, special events, guided and self-guided tours, and media presentations are offered all year.

Children entering 1st – 5th grades will have the opportunity to learn all about wildlife in the area, make cool crafts, hike nature trails, look for critters in the meadow and splash in the creek.
      06/09/12	Rainbow Falls Geology Walk Bear Creek Nature Center Rainbow Falls Geology Walk Presented by Bear Creek Nature Center at Bear Creek Nature Center June 9, 2012 Join Paul Myrow, Colorado College Professor of Geology, and discover the rich geologic history of the Rainbow Falls area. We will see and touch the Great Unconformity and hear about the Cambrian and Ordovician time periods and about evolutionary events for extinct arthropods, the trilobites. Afterwards, stay for a BYO picnic lunch. Bring the family!
