The Lon Chaney Theatre is a smaller venue inside the Colorado Springs City Auditorium seating 230. The theatre (originally called the Little Theatre, renamed in 1986), is named in honor of former Colorado Springs resident Lon Chaney, one of the most famous silent film actors, the “man of a thousand faces,” who died in Hollywood early on the morning of Aug. 26, 1930.
Currently, our Friends organization is spearheading a complete renovation of the Lon Chaney Theatre, to include a memorial showcase, honoring Lon Chaney.
