Carla Starkie

Carla’s sultry songs have swing and groove, lyrics that everyone can relate to, and stories to tell. Songs have been running through Carla’s head since she was a little girl, but it was only in the summer of 2008 that she had an "itch" to write down her songs and share them. Her New Year’s Resolution for 2009 was to write and record an album of her original vocal jazz. She started the project in March, and by June her debut album, New Dawn, was complete. It’s quite an accomplishment for a working single mother of five young children! It all came together quickly and easily with the help of an incredibly talented band.
