Edna Price

I am a 2012 graduate from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts: Studio Art. In 2010 I took part in the collaboration of a mural through Ent Federal Credit Union for UCCS, and in 2011 I worked with Senga Negundi to create a student art exhibit (Floating Thoughts Captured) at Hillside Community Center. Lastly, I was selected to have one of my sculpture pieces placed on campus at the UCCS Recreation Center July of 2012. Brief Artist Statement: The work I create comes from my deepest desires, fears, and insecurities. These components of my individuality weave themselves into themes of spirituality, identity of African American women, and women in terms of their sexual roles and norms in society.
