‘The Real Deal’, traditional-style, Delta, Chicago influenced, country blues player are some descriptions applied to John Long (aka Johnny). All are accurate; he is unique; he is original tho’ influenced by so many of the ‘true originals’. Their influences flow thru his music, and he always gives ‘those who went before, the Roots of this music’ all the credit.

John also plays gospel venues. (1st United Methodist Church, Castle Rock, Co. Pastor Robb; Sac River Cowboy Church, Springfield, Mo Pastor Scotty; Our Savior’s and Augustana Lutheran Churches in Denver, Pastor Berdahl etc.)

Guitar, Slide Guitar, Harmonica, Rack Harmonica, Vocals & Foot-Stomping come together to create the Full Sound from John Long. On some sets John will have special guests sit in, musicians who may have played in the Johnny Long Blues Band from his previous years working throughout Colorado.
